Found this in a local charity shop and going to read before it hitches with a bookray book!
Confession time - I hadn't heard of Tey before but glad I spotted this in a local charity shop as it was a worthwhile, gentle, cosy mystery read! I liked Detective-Inspector Grant and wouldn't mind reading Tey's other 5 novels featuring him.
The author (real name Elizabeth Mackintosh, & wrote as Gordon Daviot) is of the same era as Agatha Christie so may be I ought to try her books sometime too!

This was a good, well-written story! I enjoyed it a lot! Subtle hints here and there of how the story would end and I actually spotted a few of them :)
