Arrived Friday and finally had a chance to open it today.

Just made my choices. I'm taking out 5 books (41 discs) and putting in 5 books (44 discs). PMing the next participant right now for an address!

The box itself is already kaput -- one and 1/2 sides torn open. I'll trade it out, along with the six picks I made today. What a bargain for $8 in shipping! That is, IF I can successfully get it out of here via Media Mail. My local postmaster has warned me that they're checking it more often and I'm worried about the journal... Maybe we should consider keeping the entire diary online?

Anyway, thanks all! I'm excited to see what kind of books this group of BCers likes when this box comes back around again.

Box arrived in good shape and by media mail today! (Hope I will convince my post office that there are indeed tracking numbers for media mail with the one I peeled off. The kept insisting that this does not exist.)

I will go through it, make replacements and get the next address!

I just wanted to let you all know that I got the bookbox yesterday. I haven't made all my decisions about what books to take out and which ones to replace yet. I hope to get to it over the weekend.

Box actually arrived last week, but it took me a while to get organized. It has some wonderful contents, so thanks to everybody!

I've sent a PM to devon612, who's hosting the other BigJohnLefty box and is getting ready to start it off. I'm proposing that we run the two boxes on an alternating schedule, so that people who like these boxes can enjoy both or either of them, with a few months in between for time to listen. So this box will sit fallow for several months, and then emerge for its next voyage.

This will remain the journal for BigJohnLefty's box, which is now a VBB. Here are the rules:

1. CD ONLY.
2. Replace the books you take out. If you take out 2 books, replace them with 2 books
3. Keep the list no longer than 2 weeks, since you are only replacing books
4. Post in the forum thread when you make your selections. Share what you picked and what you put in.
5. Send me a PM of your choices.
6. PM the owners of the books with your address so he/she may send the book to you.
7. You may switch out one of your books at anytime, but you must let me know so I can remove it from the list.

This will be open to Canada and the USA. If you prefer not to send your books across the border (slightly higher cost, plus the extra step of filling in the customs form), just tell me and I'll block your books when the list goes to the other country.
