Given to me by a friend for Bookcrossing. Nielsen's memoir of being a very private person, being a doctor at the South Pole, and having way too much media attention when it got out she had breast cancer. I enjoyed this book. The majority of it deals with a middle-aged woman stretching herself to do something new and different. Her account of wo9rk at the South Pole was fascinating, particularly as you had to make do, or do without. A very brave woman.
