I found this slightly-battered little softcover at the local library's ongoing book-sale, and nabbed it for a holiday release. It contains poems about the holidays, from a kid's increasingly-fantastic wishlist to Santa to concerns about why nobody's received their cards yet ("Did I forget the stamps?"), to the number of Santas cropping up everywhere one turns. Caroling, the Christmas play, mistletoe... Most of the poems are light-hearted and sweet, but a few are on the sour side: "I'm really unhappy/I'm down in the dumps/Tomorrow is Christmas/And I have the mumps."

I left this book propped up in a free-newspaper rack in the entrance of Joey's Diner at around noon; hope the finder enjoys it!
