Thank you very much indeed, Plum-crazy - a wonderful surprise to find under my Christmas tree this morning :-)! I'm a big fan of Helen Dunmore's fiction but this will be my first foray into her poetry and I'm really looking forward to it, thank you very much! And thank you for the accompanying owl as well - happy memories of the Leeds Unconvention where owls were very much the motif!

Thank you again, plum-crazy! These are proving to be very thought-provoking! I'm reading them one a day, to appreciate, ponder and savour them individually! Then, with your approval, please, they'll disappear into my permanent poetry collection ..... Thank you!

I continued to savour these beautiful poems slowly and have only now turned the last page!

I enjoyed them - but I don't know that I understood them! The words flowed over and around me - but I didn't always catch what they were trying to tell me and I'm sure there are all sorts of nuances and intonations that completely passed me by ....
These are now going onto my poetry shelves and I may well come back to them again, and again - but I doubt I'll write further journal entries if/when I do!
