I didn't like this book much, it was neither one thing or another. It reminded me of the Satanic Verses by Salmon Rushtie in that it was a mixture of satire and fact. I wouldn't have finished it if I hadn't been reading it for the 666 challenge. It is in fact about a mythical country in South America, probably because he didn't want to be in the same position as Rushtie and have to fear for his life. It is a story/satire about the cocaine industry in his fictional country. To be fair, I didn't like his other book either.
