It is difficult to believe that anyone would find a reason to object to this fun book for beginner readers, but a group in Toronto demanded the book be removed from the Toronto Public Library in 2014, because it encourages "children to use violence against their fathers."

Because of this (unsuccessful) challenge, this book is being registered for release during next year's Banned Books Week.

This week has been the annual American Library Association Banned Books Week, which I have been observing by releasing books that have been banned or challenged. This book, which was challenged for the incredibly silly reason that it allegedly promotes violence against fathers (!!), shows that books can be challenged for almost any reason.
