I absolutely love Robin Hobb's fantasy books and it's wonderful to pick up the story of the Rain Wilds dragons again. Those hatched from those who remained serpents too long hatch out small and deformed, and the dragon Tintaglia has lost interest. But the Rain Wilders are stuck with looking after them, so they select a group of those less valued by society to take them to their ancestral home. Alise, growing up the plain daughter of a lesser Bingtown Trader is astonished to be courted by the beautiful Hest, having expected to become an old maid spend her life studying the history of dragons and elderlings. Hobb weaves her magic well as the threads of story come together in a quest, but with those along who cannot be trusted and would kill the dragons. Couldn't put this down.
