The begining and end focus on three Americans in London during the war and it is quite well done but the middle section founders along and I totally lost the thread of which story she wanted to tell. A decent read but not as good as it could have been. I also got the impression that the Allies only won the war through dumb luck, which I don't think was how she wanted to portray it.
