Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War, 1937-1948
2 journalers for this copy...
Good as a history of Czechoslovakia and what happened to it in World War II but less good as a personal memoir. Albright's parents worked closely with the Czech government in exile but, as she was a very young girl and both her parents died before she wrote the memoir, it is rather dry as a memoir. The history is fascinating but her writing style leaves a bit to be desired. I think I'd rather read something more scholarly, this was neither fish nor fowl.
