Blue Sheep Reverie Volume 1 (Yaoi) (Yaoi Manga)
2 journalers for this copy...
has even turned brown,
the boy is spun into new arms.
I'm glad I was able to snatch a few yaoi for you that you were looking forward to. ;)
This series, damn, I don't remember it all but like some very vague outline. I think I only read the first 2 volumes (I don't know why I didn't finish, they were probably too expensive at the time). But then I found them on emanga.com in Kindle form and wound up picking up the whole series in one feel swoop!
Of course, the problem with e-books (for me) is that I can't remember books by title, I'm a visual person. And I have a large screen kindle but it's one of the originals, so no fancy book cover images to sort through, just a list of titles. :P
Basically that means I can forget I have stuff or have a hard time finding specific stories because I forgot what they were called. A bad case of out of sight, out of mind.
So alas, I still haven't read this series. Blergh!
Later: I didn't enjoy this story as much as Hero Heel, though it certainly has similar angst-quotient and bad-decision-factor elements! The premise here is that young Kai has come to the city to seek vengeance for the murder of his beloved Maria, only to find himself strangely attracted to powerful warlord Lahti - the man he wants to kill. Soon enough he finds out that everything he thought he knew about Maria was untrue, and that the situation's more complicated and potentially more dangerous than he could have realized - yet he sticks around, and soon enough becomes a key player in a power struggle.
There's more of combat-training and gang warfare in this story than there is of romance, and indeed I expect I'd have liked the story better if it hadn't tried to incorporate the love/hate/can-I-trust-him dynamics - I really think it'd have worked better as a straight (pardon the expression) growing-loyalty-to-the-boss setup. Either way, it has some good storylines and interesting characters, especially some of the secondary ones such as information-broker Shiki and grandmotherly Yan. And I did want to find out whether Kai and Lahti can really trust each other enough to take on their deadliest foe...
[There's a short TV Tropes page on the series, with lots of blanked-out spoilers that I will avoid reading until I've read the book!]
