Thor: Son of Asgard

About your average Thor storyline, art wasn't the most impressive at this era either. Fair read but doesn't just astonish you like the more recent comics do.
To emmejo! Enjoy!
Thank you for your generous package! I don't think I've actually read any of the Thor comics before, so I'll be interested to see how I like this one.
I agree with SLLokabrenna's assessment of this one: readable, but not particularly good.
The art fluctuates a lot, sometimes it is quite good, but often the characters are placed in weirdly contorted, disconnected (and, for the women, sexualized) poses that seem like throwbacks to some 90's trends that really should be left dead. Sometimes I got the sense that the author was struggling to merge digital layers effectively, resulting in pages where it seemed like everything was at slightly different angles from other elements. Panel layout is solid and the plot progresses at a steady pace, but that plot is fairly bland and fails to leave behind the simplistic tropes it is comprised of.

This book is setting out as one of the starter books for the Manga and Graphic Novel Relay Game
This one gets to move forward. =)
I know next to nothing about Marvel comics (and I've never read Thor, not even watched any of the recent movies), so I'm looking forward to doing some catching up!
