Cat Under Fire

I liked Bk # 1 in this series (A Joe Grey Mystery) of 16 books but have to say I found Bk # 2 more enjoyable. Maybe, I'm just better adjusted to cats who can understand, read, and speak English. Their points of view about humans and their jokes about them make me chuckle. Somehow, I can accept a cat who's interested in reading the morning newspaper!
Like every Cozy Mystery a murder-off stage-is committed and Dulcie is determined to get to the bottom of it. When she tries to drag her friend Joe into the investigation he is reluctant telling her, "Trust me, Dulcie! We're suppose to catch mice, not crooks."

This second book in Shirley Rousseau Murphy's series of 19 books (A Joe Grey Mystery) is making its first trip away from home all the way to Finland! International travel can be kinda' scary and she demanded her sister, book # 1 accompany her. Traveling is always more fun with a beloved companion! "Mrs. Jeffries Learns the Trade" is also in the box so it's quite a triumvirate!
