American-born son of Czech immigrants and his search, including a trip to Prague, to understand his mother's past
I absolutely love historical fiction, and this book certainly falls into that category. Central to the plot is the assassination of a high-ranked Nazi, who was a real life person and a horrible human being. My sister-in-law is Czech, and she and her family would undoubtedly have been affected by the happenings and aftermath. I also very much enjoyed the writing style of Mark Slouka. I found his language to be beautifully crafted, and I will look for more of his work.
