I bought this book at the Bowling Green library book sale and later realized that it was a signed copy - probably from the Southern Kentucky Book Fest. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it. I think I started losing interest when the author (who apparently lives part of the year in Kentucky) failed to have any knowledge of the geography of the state. Apparently, neither does her editor. It's not a big thing, but it was enough for me to have a bad taste about the book from the first chapter. It didn't help that I also disliked the main character. I'm giving up without finishing it and will try to find a more appreciative reader.

I'm putting this in my bag for a road trip in a couple of weeks. I'll make release notes once it's in the wild.

My husband and I were exploring a new (to us) part of Kentucky, and I wanted to leave a book. This one is by the door of the Welcome Center - a very cool building from the front and back!
