CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Re-released as part of kalelewin's crime bookbox!
Taken from KaleLewin's Crime/Thriller Bookbox. I've read a few of this series and enjoyed them, so I'm sure I'll like this when I get the chance to read it. It may talke a while to get to it as my TBR pile is massive :-)
Another fun and easy read in this enjoyable series.
This is now on its way to my partner in the "Dog, Cat or Horse Carousel" hope you enjoy it.
It comes with a duck key ring for the Hook-a-Duck stall and a coaster for the Rollercoaster ride :-)

Superb choice Harobed82 for a number of reasons; in particular as it appears this volume involves some time spent in Scotland (intriguing!) and I enjoy Lilian Jackson Braun’s cosy cat mysteries and would like to read this, especially as I think I have never read this before, plus I know another couple of BookCrossers who I expect will be happy to read this too. Also I can (((wave))) hello to yorkshire-lass, and Plum-crazy who I have swapped books with on more occasions than I can count, cheers from rainbow3.

Book burble: “Lively…will enchant fans.” –Publishers Weekly
Qwill’s on his way to Scotland-and on his way to solving another purr-plexing mystery. But this time Koko’s nowhere near the scene of the crime. He an Yum Yum are back in Pickax being coddled by a catsitter…but Koko won’t sit still once Qwill’s traveling party returns-minus one member. He’s behaving oddly, and Qwill knows what that means. Koko may have been miles away from the murder scene-but he’s just a whisker away from cracking the case!
Qwilleran – a prize-winning reporter with a nose for crime. Koko – a Siamese cat with extraordinary talents and a flair for mystery. Yum Yum – a loveable Siamese adored by her two male companions. The most unlikely, most unusual, most delightful team in detective fiction!
THE CAT WHO WASN’T THERE (Jim Qwilleran Feline Whodunnit 14) by LILIAN JACKSON BRAUN (1992) | ISBN: 0515111279 (USA PB) | Publisher: Jove Mystery, The Berkley Pub. Grp.

A bit of the activity in THE CAT WHO WASN’T THERE takes place here in Tartan land whoop! Yes, while this would make a great themed release for Scotland I have a Braun fan in the family so it’s now in Somerset!
Polly and Quill head to Scotland with an old chum of Polly’s and tour party of Pickax folk. The plan, to visit by bus of some beautiful highland areas and tour various castles, is on the cards. But while the tours in progress a murderer strikes and the party is down by one…
As usual, with Braun, a wee cosy mystery treat and just the thing if some pleasing relaxation time with perspicacious cats is sought. OK so this missed out on inclusion in a 2018 Festive parcel and was only packed and sent off to Somerset on Monday 23 September. It arrived with BookCrosser Flutterbies9 on Thursday 26.
---------------------
The Cat Who Wasn’t There, was one of two books I added, into a parcel of leaflets picked up at Bloody Scotland,* this last weekend. I picked to programme details send book advertising blurbs postcards and bookmarks, some book extract previews, and a Scots Magazine.
Hope you enjoy!
*BLOODY SCOTLAND, Stirling, it's Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival! An annual and utterly brilliant two and a half day Book Festival at the end of September, this year it falls on Friday 20 till Sunday 22.

Received 26/9/19 but not journaled on time, sorry.
These "The Cat Who.." books are always such fun and an easy read for the moments when .... an easy read is required. Looking forward to this. Thanks.

I knew this would be fun but did not expect some education as well. Though born and bred in Scotland there were some words here in the dictionary of Scots words they used that I've never heard of! However, in general, the Scottish bit was very glossed over and so unspecific as to be indistinguishable in location placing.
The plotline did feel somewhat manipulated but nonetheless, held together in most respects and incorporated some worthy thoughts on the themes. As usual I liked the way that the feline aspects were dealt with and fitted into the storyline (eg. treats) and although the 'villains' in the piece were obvious from almost the start, more background was fitted in as the story progressed to give a rounder picture of why as well as how events went.
Time to pass this on I fear though I've not got a particular cause in mind yet.
