From the back cover: At first it seems amusing when Kyle Valenti's skin takes on a lime-colored hue. But within hours, the hospital has become a disaster area, full of humans who look more like aliens than the real "Scandinavian" [uh, I think they mean "Czechoslovakian"] occupants of Roswell. Soon, Maria and Alex have joined the club, and Max decides to use his powers to return them to normal. Except his healing touch apparently doesn't work when the trouble is cosmetic, and not life-threatening. While the military forces the colored population into top secret quarantine camps, Liz searches for a scientific explanation and finds a familiar culprit--and a new sense of urgency. Within forty-eight hours, this alien contaminant will change the humans' skin permanently, leaving the humans green...and Max, Michael, and Isabel unveiled.

Another fun Roswell book. I like the way the authors (as they did in the previous book) took something that happened in an episode from the TV show and wrote a book about the aftereffects of the event. Of course, it's made me realize how fuzzy some things in the TV show are in my memory. Again, I was a bit upset with all the Tess/Max interaction, but I do have to admit that they never could have gotten through the situation without Tess's "special powers."

Received this in a little Roswell care package today! Thanks, karendawn!! Got spring break coming up soon... I think I will have a Roswell reading frenzy. I'll be passing these books forward to caligula03 who is a fan as well. Hmm, I'm having a craving for chocolate cake with Tabasco sauce!

This book had the funniest typo ever: "These cells were stuck between the normal cells in what she remembered being the basil layer of the epidermis." Hmmm... basil vs. basal... pesto skin?! I did enjoy this one for the same reasons... that one moment or scene from the show that was expanded into further adventure. I had a reading frenzy of these about a week ago and finished them all up. They are off to caligula03 soon!
