Loved this novel. It has it all - interesting characters and a very dramatic plot involving an opera singer and a hostage taking in a small South American country.
Picked up at the last Bookcrossing Meetup in Vancouver. I have just started reading another of this author's books, The Magician's Assistant, so I am looking forward to this book too.
Another good read. I didn't think so before I started this. :-)

What a lovely book, from the shocking beginning, to the ennui of the middle, to the revelations of who everybody actually is, to the shocking conclusion. Perfect plotting and gorgeous writing.
