In the class of the high school English teacher she has been haunting, Helen feels them: for the first time in 130 years, human eyes are looking at her. They belong to a boy, a boy who has not seemed remarkable until now. And Helen--terrified, but intrigued--is drawn to him. The fact that he is in a body and she is not presents this unlikely couple with their first challenge. But as the lovers struggle to find a way to be together, they begin to discover the secrets of their former lives and of the young people they come to possess.

This book is apparently YA - but it doesn't read that way. Although it is on the surface about the romance between two high school kids, the physical bodies in the relationship are not the same as the beings that inhabit them.

This story is about 'what happens if we don't move on when we die', and how two people gradually come to terms with their lives and deaths.

I found this book last year and forgot about making a review. It's still with me.
Anyway, it's been a year now and I've read a lot of books after this... but I can still remember how I felt when I read A Certain Slant of Light.
It's heart-warming. It's wonderful.
It's about letting go of your past to move forward without burdens. It's about finally reaching your destination once you've moved forward without those burdens. It's also about being seen when all you thought you're invisible to everyone else.
It's about love and acceptance.
And it's also finding your way back home. And that's just wonderful.

Ps. I will release it soon :)
