A delightful book trade from an open village book exchange located in Kungsö village, Jomala, Aland Islands. This was the only available book not in Swedish language so I picked this up as a trade for a Karin Fossum thriller I released there.
A paperback by Hodder & Stoughton, 2014, 400 pages.
Synopsis:
"A powerful story about a young girl's search for her mother... About the lengths we go to for those who have left us behind; about the staying power of love; and about how three broken souls might have just the right pieces to mend each other".

Thanks for the loan, Bookgeo, Picoult is one of my favourites. What a lovely box located in Kungsö in the photo! I'll try to be quick with this one, although 400 pages...
This was a great disappointment for me, because I have liked most Picoult's books very much. The paranormal world and the psychic, who has lost her ability to communicate with spirits, wasn't my genre, unfortunately. The book was full of knowledge about elephants, which is interesting, of course, but I would like to read scientific books as such - not in fiction. I appreciate, that Picoult had learned so much about elephants before writing this book, but would have liked a book written by a scientist more. Altogether this was too much for me - psychics, elephants and a mess of social contacts between the living ones and the dead :)
