Murder on the Orient Express (Poirot)

I do love a good Poirot! I've seen a lot of the TV adaptations so knew what was coming but a good read all the same.

Taking an unexpected trip on the Orient Express, Poirot is struck by the variety of nationalities present in what should be a quiet period. When the train gets stuck in the snow, and an old man guilty of a terrible crime is murdered, it must have been done by someone present on the train; but since they all have no connection to him none of them has any possible motive. With no way to contact the outside world there is no way to check on the background of anyone, so it must all be left to Poirot's little grey cells. One of Christie's best known works, the unguessable conclusion once again demonstrates her supremacy in crime writing.
