Hittad på second hand, tillhört vuxenutbildningen...

Three short stories, the first of which focuses on a group of people trapped in an Egyptian airport without a tour guide. The second looks at a woman's outrage when a cat impregnates her kitten, and the third examines the end of an affair. All three explore beneath the veneer of good behaviour.

En underbar liten bok med noveller

Vet ni vad. Nu tar jag mig en riktig god kopp kaffe och läser denna lilla boken med en gång. Tusen tack!

Oh, just to amuse future English readers as well: I'm dropping everything, getting a cup of coffee and just going to read.

Had my coffee, blanket and reading light (it's a damp, cloudy day). Wonderful reading time spent, while I really should have been sending emails. Absolutely loved the Emasculation of Ted Roper and had good chuckles with Pack of Cards. Loved the spunk in the ladies going after the cat :D I really felt for the Abu Simbel crowd, for I had to spend an agonizing night at some German service station once. No fits there, but the worst sleep in most awful conditions anyway. Wonder how much of real life experiences there were behind the stories...
Thank you Deepswamp, this was a real gem!

This was a little odd book, quick read! I liked the last of the three novels, Pack of Cards, best!
I'll take the book with me to the BC meet-up next week :)

I grabbed the book at the BC meet-up in Tampere's new Koilliskeskus on Monday. The plan is to take it to kirjakko but as she can attend our local meet-ups quite rarely I'll probably have plenty of time to read it myself too ;) Thanks for the book!

This was hidden in an envelope with all sorts of goodies - like postcards ordered from the Bodleian Library, Oxford, which we both visited during the Oxford Convention in 2015. I heard I had won a prize already last summer and this was it. 'Not bad' as Jorma Uotinen would say. Thanks, I would and will say.

Speaking of Christmas cards, I have to add one educational photo from London Town. I do not know what Sir Cole would say about today's postal reforming - that mailman cut grass on Tuesdays as it is not a busy postal day.
