China in Ten Words is a collection of essays by the author Yu Hua. He describes his country around these 10 words using some examples from his personal life. When I started the book I was expecting something a little different but soon found that the book captivated me. The book captured the heart of the Chinese people. Though I’ve never been to China, it appears to me that the author is honest about the good and the bad. Yu Hua is considered one of China’s most acclaimed writers.
