I found this handsome hardcover at the Little Free Library in North Andover, MA, and couldn't resist it. It's a fable told in varying typefaces, with illustrations ranging from clip-art to photo-realistic items: "...if you prefer something unique, I can offer you certain priceless relics... two of Puss-in-Boots' whiskers... or Thumbelina's cradle..." The many items include the fanciful, the lyrical, the frightening, and the amusing.
