I thought that I had registered and reviewed this book but when I got ready to release it I couldn't find it on my BC shelf. Hmm. ..

This is an interesting and well-written book. I often worry about how much we lose being so connected to the Internet and social media. I was often nodding my head as I read. I couldn't help but remain a little sad after I'd finished the book. I can accept that future generations will not mourn the loss of the way things were because that will not be even slightly relevant to their world or anywhere in their consciousness but I still think the end of absence is a terrible thing. I believe the human mind and body needs it as much as it needs other kinds of nourishment.

I listened to a radio program on a similar subject recently and I think this could be an interesting addition to that discussion.

I read this book and it formed the basis of my New Years resolution this year; to spend less time in front of a screen and more time with my nose in a book. This was a fantastic kick in the pants for me.
