Wow, this woman can really write! Maeve Binchy tells you a story filled with characters you care about, each of them fully fleshed out and real. It seems like she ended up becoming the chronicler of the huge changes in Ireland from the 1970's through her death in the 2010's. It sounds like the country has transformed itself, and she helps you see how these dramatic social shifts play out through the people.

Highly recommended.

This was a great character-driven story. Ria and her husband Danny live on Tara Road in Dublin with their children. There are many characters in this book but it’s easy to follow their part to the story. Danny’s double life comes to light and Ria finds herself swapping houses with a lady in America. Ria is forced upon a journey to find herself when her life implodes.
