I was delighted to find this book in my local library's book sale because this year's special theme for the Canada Days release challenge is poetry. I have always thought that the descriptions in seed catalogues were entrancing but it takes a poet with skill to incorporate them into poems. Kroetsch muses about farming and sin and health and the seed catalogue. Here's one small example:
How do you grow a poet?

This is a prairie road.
This road is the shortest distance
between nowhere and nowhere.
This road is a poem.

What better book to release in the English Garden than a poetry book about gardening? This release is for the 2015 Canada Days release challenge. It was left on a bench under an apple tree.
