I have a vague memory of seeing the movie version of this book on TV when I was young; the fates of Audrey Rose and Ivy Templeton still haunt my subconscious. The book, in 2016, is a delightful time capsule of the 1970s. It's not quite as creepy or scary as the movie (maybe I needed a soundtrack and sound effects), but it has an interesting philosophical discussion of reincarnation that must have gone way over my head in the movie version.
