We Are All Made of Molecules

I absolutely love Susin Nielsen and this book is adorable. While Word Nerd is still my favorite, I enjoyed this book and pretty much read it cover to cover in one sitting. Stewart calls like it is and I enjoyed his social ineptitude - I think we all feel like it would be wonderful to just blurt things out at times.
Book Description(from Indigo.ca):
Thirteen-year-old Stewart Inkster is academically brilliant but "ungifted" socially. Fourteen-year-old Ashley Anderson is the undisputed "It" girl of grade nine, but her marks stink. Their worlds are about to collide when Stewart and his dad move in with Ashley and her mom. "The Brady Bunch" it isn't. Stewart is trying to be 89.9% happy about it, but Ashley is 110% horrified. She already has to hide the truth behind her parents' divorce; "Spewart" could further threaten her position at the top of the social ladder. They are complete opposites. And yet, no matter their differences, they share one thing in common: they--like the rest of us--are all made of molecules.
Written in alternating voices, Susin Nielsen deftly explores family tragedy and family ties; sibling rivalry and union; and adolescent confusion and revelation.

Such a fun fast read. Love how the author plops characters from a previous book into the currant one.

Great YA book. I read this one in a flash.
I listened to this on audio-book and found that the Ashley chapters playing at 1.5x speed is exactly what teenagers sound like.

Taking to the Calgary September BookCrossing meetup.
Picked up at the september bookcrossing meetup in Calgary. It's great to be back!! Looking forward to the read.
This book was cute. I love how the same characters keep circulating through all her books. This one was quite a bit darker than her other books but still a fun read.
Will be brought back to Calgary Bookcrossing for a new reader to enjoy.

Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing January meet-up. Another Susin Nielsen book!
Another awesome book from Susin Nielsen. It made me glad I'm not a teenager anymore. Ashley was kind of annoying at times, but she shows some growth towards the end of the book. Stewart, too. I love the little appearances from characters from the previous books. It's like an Easter egg for devout readers of her books.
One little aside: Ashley refers to Stewart and his dad as "Lenny and Squiggy", which is from Laverne and Shirley. Would a teenaged girl her age know about a comedy from the 1970s? She doesn't strike me as the type of person to be watching cheesy reruns.

Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing February meet-up.
Picked this one up at our February meeting. Our theme was "Two for the dough". We had 10 members attend, including one new member. Adding this to my to be read shelf.
