Just finished this one and I very much enjoyed it. It was frustrating to see Betsy so easily swayed from her resolutions, but again she is showing more growing up all the time.

I am really looking foward to the next book. Hint, hint :)! I will wait patiently, but anxiously, for it!

Now these three are off to the next person. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 7 by kayters from Lawrenceville, Georgia USA on Monday, October 4, 2004
Just finished - will be off along with Betsy in Spite of Herself perhaps today! I loved this book so much! The books when Betsy is older are really the best of the series. I have Betsy and Joe here already (my personal copy), but would like to receive the bookring copy just b/c of the additional information and photos in the back. My copy is an old library copy and doesn't have that.

Journal Entry 10 by rampallion from Evanston, Illinois USA on Sunday, October 10, 2004
I didn't like this one as much as Betsy in Spite of Herself because I didn't think all the stuff about sororities was that interesting. But it was still a very entertaining book--I finished it in one day, so it really held my attention! I loved Julia's dramatic entrance when she's homesick. And it was fun to read more about Margaret now that she's older and has a more distinct personality.

At one point Tib complains that Betsy has talked her up so much that people will compare her to Billie Burke. I had to look that one up. Billie Burke played Glinda in The Wizard of Oz. She was considered one of the most beautiful women of her time. She also said, "Age is not important unless you are a cheese."
Thanks for sending these! The post office is closed tomorrow because of Columbus Day, but I plan to mail BiSoH and BWaJ sometime this week.

I'm afraid that I didn't like Betsy very much in this one. She knew that the sorority was hurting people, but she was in such a "have fun" frenzy that she ignored her better judgement-even where Tony was concerned. I hope that her good sense returns in the next one.

Received in the mail today. Can hardly wait to get started. These are wonderful books.

Journal Entry 18 by 1stlite from Forsyth, Montana USA on Sunday, April 3, 2005
As with all the Betsy Tacy books, this was a good story. I remember the pains of growing up and can relate to Betsy most of the time. And all the worry about boys, boys, boys. I am so glad I have grown out of that!

And it was cute to see her not worry about school as much as her group. It did come back to her in the end and she appeared to have learned something, too.

Will be releasing through the mail to surfekitten this week.
