This volume includes the title poem as well as “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock,” “Gerontion,” “Ash Wednesday,” “Sweeney Among the Nightingales,” and other poems from Eliot’s early and middle work. “Eliot has left upon English poetry a mark more unmistakable than that of any other poet writing in English” (Edmund Wilson).

While "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is one of my favorite poems, I felt as though I didn't know enough to appreciate the rest of the poems in this book. Although there were a couple that were simple enough to understand somewhat.

This book was left inside the Starbucks located on the northeast corner of 19th Avenue and Northern.
