Journal Entry 1 by Boekenspookje from Zoetermeer, Zuid-Holland Netherlands on Saturday, April 11, 2015
Gegroet, vinder!
Thank you for picking up this book and thank you for letting me know that this book has found a good home with you. You may choose to remain anonymous or to join (its free). I hope you enjoy the book. You can make another journal entry with your comments when you’ve finished reading. Whenever you’re ready to send it on its way, make a journal entry if you are giving or sending this book to a known person, or release notes if you are leaving it "in the wild" again for anyone to catch. Then watch its journey. You’ll be alerted by e-mail each time someone makes another journal entry. It’s all confidential (you’re known only by your screen name and no one is ever given your e-mail address), free, and spam-free.
My experience with this book:
It is a book for children, and I am 58, but I loved it! The drawings are fun to look at and the witing has been done very clever. If I still had young children, I would love to read this book with them.

Completely different than the movie, which I didn't expect when I started reading. It is almost like someone at DreamWorks had the idea for the movie, but they found out there is a book with a similar premise and to avoid copy right claims they got the license and changed the names of the characters.
Nevertheless, the book was a fun, light story with nice illustrations.
Things I liked better in the movie
- Characters had more personality
- Toothless (in the book he is just obnoxious and uninteresting)
- Attitude towards dragons
Things I liked better in the book
- Dragonese
- Seadragonus Maximus Gigantus
- Two tribes competing
Thanks for sharing boekenspookje. I will find a good release spot for this book.
