From the back of the book:
Friday August 15th, 1997. Two tiny Korean babies are delivered to two very different Baltimore families. Every year, on the anniversary of 'Arrival Day' the two families celebrate together, with more and more elaborately competitive parties, as little Susan and Jin-ho take roots and become American.

Just found this book and the world of book crossing!!!
At present my 6 week old daughter is in the Intensive Care Unit at Westmead Childrens hospital. Alexandra has just had open heart surgery. Alex is sedated and is on a ventilation machine, the hours passing feel like eternity.
I was standing in the parents hostel and noticed a bookcase filled with many books parents had left behind, the spine of this book caught my attention.
I plan to read this book and release it free from the hospital. I will replace this book with one of my own from home and fill the gap in the parents hostel bookcase.
Thank you to 'awaywithfairies' for the distraction of this book.

I was very surprised by this book, I really thought I would not enjoy it and was only reading it because I had nothing else to read. Once starting this book I found it very hard to put down, it had got my full attention.
The story covers the full spectrum of life - love, happiness, birth, death/sickness and importance of family through it all.
Recommend this book to anyone whom happens to find it.
