This is a brilliant story! The chapters are alternately by husband/wife Allen and Sandra and tells of his brain injury during service with the Royal Navy (which resonates with me as I have a brain injury too) and his struggle primarily to come to terms with the injury. Then he met Endal, the yellow labrador who decided that Allen was "his" human and how Allen's life transformed with Endal's assistance.
It's brilliant!!!

What a stunning and beautifully written book. This story shows how amazing animals can be and how they can help there friends in times of need. I liked the fact that the chapters alternated between husband and wife , and to hear both sides of the story and how a dog has helped transform a mans health :)

I thought the book was a bit long to start, I wanted to read about the dog but had to wait until the 2nd half, wondering when he would arrive.
It's really impressive how this cute Endal could help this family be happy again.
Dogs are loving creatures, no doubt about it!

Now this book will go to another bookcrosser, who has it on her wish list.
