Alexander Portnoy goes to the psychiatrist to analyse how much he feels guilty about giving in to his enormous sexual urges. What follows is the whole narration: it's hilarious at times and sad at others. It criticizes Jews from within. Marvelous book.
It's such an enjoyable novel, and I presume that it would be even funnier to males than females.
