As in most cases, the 2nd book did not start as strong as the first one. Nevertheless it gained speed, once Cia has to master further test - this time as leader of a team of 4, in which she is able to gain the trust of 2 team members, but one is definitely against her and stays this way. Of course he, Damone, is a Tosu City kid, who is spoiled and emotional.
Cia's team is able to win the competition and she even gains President Collindar's attention. During ther studies she has to start an internship with the President and as part of that, (spoiler!!!) whe finds out, that the assumed leader of the rebels in reality works for the Testing committee. Cia's main contact to the rebels is killed cold bloodily by Symon Dean, who is considered the trustworthy rebellion leader. Before the book ends with a cliff hanging end, the reader can even observe, that Zeen, Cia's brother is in Tosu city and tries to work with the rebels. The last point in the book is, that Cia is able to communicate to Zeen.
