A bearded young man starts talking to another at a Lahore café. The other one must be an American tourist. The thing is that the local man starts takling about the years he spent in America, being a Princeton graduate, a high-brow acquisitions appraiser and the pursuer of ERicas love.

The rhythm and the suspense is so well-paced! The sense of dislocation throughout the whole novel is the best part {oh, ghee, I'm beginning to sound like my old university teachers}

It's such an interesting novel. The title is misleading probably... but I take it as part of the game. It reads so quickly! But it really portrays an interesting character (he and Jimmy are the most interesting ones), and another one, the rich bitch who is on the verge of a nervous breakdown who I find more annoying than anything else. And I understand that rich people are also people and that we are all human and that we all have problems - but really, find a job, start working and everything will go away.
