WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Matthew Collins was a member of the National Front, dallying with the BNP and their violent offshoot, C18. Over the course of his time surrounded by unrepentant Nazis, fascists, anti Semites and Holocaust deniers, he underwent a change of heart and has since become a leading anti fascist campaigner.
The most interesting parts are where Collins is explaining what drew him to the movement and what his ideologies were. The reason for my frustration with the book is that the reasons for his change to the left wing is much less well-explained. He doesn't say why he changed his mind or what made him feel that he'd been wrong, and his current work for Hope Not Hate is barely touched on. Instead, there is chapter after chapter of descriptions of disgusting people doing terrible things, which becomes old quickly.
