Short autobiography of a teenage mother and daughter of strict parents, now a film. I picked it up in a charity shop because it looked interesting and I really enjoyed the story. How she got herself in trouble - and not just with the pregnancy - but had the opportunity to finish her education. Now I want to see the film!

I liked this autobiography at first but got a bit sick of it by the end. The author comes across pretty badly so one can only assume that it's honest, at least. She starts off as a self-centred adolescent and in a clever twist on the coming-of-age genre, ends up an equally self-centred young woman! While it's a very frank memoir it's not particularly in depth, for example you come out of it knowing all the different drugs she took but not understanding why she took them or how they made her feel. So a pretty forgettable read in the end. I hope her son turned out ok, bless him.
