This is a brilliant book and I wish it had been around when I needed it. James Dawson has done something he should be rightly proud of and I am confidant that this book will make a difference to many YA lives and to a quite a few folk longer in the tooth. The constant reiteration that it is OK to be who you are and that it is OK not be certain who you are yet is empowering. As is the message that you do not need to label yourself nor accept labels from others.
My only gripe with the book, and the reason that I did not give it the 5 stars it really deserves, is that it is 'time stamped' for me. By that I mean that there are a lot of references to current celebs who in a couple of years will not be relevant to YA's. It is the kind of book that I like to have on a shelf and available to lend/give away and I will.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book.
