The Chocolate Mousetrap by Joanna Carl - OK
There are lots of this type of book around these days: cosy mysteries set in coffee shops, and cookie shops and cupcake shops and, in this case, a chocolate manufacturer/shop.
A lighthearted piece of nonsense that is perfect to while away a few hours without having to think too much. There are no surprises here, the clues are obvious, as is the murderer, but that doesn't matter too much unless you are looking for deep thinking literature with plot twists and excitement.
If you need a break from heavy reading (as I did), go ahead. If not, walk on by.

Caught at the old gang meet up. This looks fun.

At the meet-up we were chatting about how these kind of mysteries are always really bizarre because people in them never really seem that bothered that someone has been murdered. It's almost a side issue. As a reader, you then find yourself viewing it as an incidental event too, that happens to be the vehicle for the amateur detective to be inquisitive, which is something they find fun. So, they're enjoyable, but I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day with that. Ha ha. At least the baddies always get caught, as the one in this book did after a lot of shenanigans.
This is on a couple of wishlists, so I should get it travelling again soon.

Nice and easy, perhaps not the best in this series (so far I've read them all up to this) but entertaining anyway!

Was a really nice read just before the Christmas time started. Liked the book and the story, was a bit surprised the two of them are not yet married in this book. Guess I'll have to try to find out the title of the next book to see if it ever comes...
