The art of love is never a science: Meet Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially inept professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers.
Rosie Jarman possesses all these qualities. Don easily disqualifies her as a candidate for The Wife Project (even if she is “quite intelligent for a barmaid”). But Don is intrigued by Rosie’s own quest to identify her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on The Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie―and the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love, it finds you.

Quirky, whimsical, character-driven romantic comedy. A fantastic read.
Southern Cross Exchange Release - April
Thank you for sending this wishlist book AmberC. My husband pounced on it as soon as he saw it and is now insisting I get him the sequel!
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
AmberC thank you for sending this book to me.
I was being a bit of a book snob, and didn't want to read this, but after a few people commented to me about the book and how much they themselves enjoyed it, my interest was piqued.
Indeed, the husband did read it as soon as it arrived, and I heard him chuckle several times.
He picked up the sequel also at a garage sale.
Now, I read the book (finally) last month and posted it to another bookcrosser as part of The Southern Cross Book Exchange over on www.bookobsessed.com.
In a rush to get the book out the door, I didn't journal it. But, from memory, I did rather enjoy this book and surprised myself with how much I would look forward to reading it in bed of an evening.
I can see how this ended up being chosen for a film also. I may even make an attempt at seeing it...
