"In nineteenth-century Istanbul, a Polish prince has been kidnapped. His assassination has been bungled and his captors have taken him to an unused farmhouse. Little do they realize that their revolutionary cell has been penetrated by their enemies, who use the code name La Piuma (the Feather). Yashim is convinced that the prince is alive. But he has no idea where, or who La Piuma is - and has become dangerously distracted by falling in love. As he draws closer to the prince's whereabouts and to the true identity of La Piuma, Yashim finds himself in the most treacherous situation of his career: can he rescue the prince along with his romantic dreams[unk] Jason Goodwin's bestselling 'Yashim' series has been published across the globe and received huge critical acclaim. Finally a new Yashim!!!
I did enjoy it (how could I not with characters like Yashim, Palewski and the Valide?), but I thought it wasn't as good as the previous ones. I cannot say what was missing, it's just a felling, that something was. It didn't feel rounded or whole or thorough.

I have to agree with miss_malihini that this wasn't the best of all of the Yashims. I did enjoy it - particularly Yashim's cooking - but yes, it wasn't quite satisfactory. Also read in the epilogue that the author had planned to let Yashim die but his trusty fans complained via social media and he changed the ending. Perhaps this it why it didn't quite gel - as much as I am glad of course that Yashim did not die and we may hope for more adventures.
