Journal Entry 3 by Pixie3578 at Paris, Ile-de-France France on Saturday, January 27, 2018
Back in 2015 I was attending the motor cross of nations in Erne I was travelling with my then girlfriend and best friend. We wanted to see Paris so spent a day just to catch some of the city’s iconic sights. I saw the book placed behind a road sign close to the river but didn’t initially pick it up. We continued our visit through the city but the fact that someone would leave a book carefully wrapped in a bag at that location intrigued me. I started to wind up my fellow travellers who had insisted I leave the book. Towards the end of the day and through a twist of fate (closed underground stations) we found ourselves close to the books location, I left the others at a bar and ran off to collect it. Unfortunately being stupid English none of us spoke French and after looking into the book could only find French reviews of it. I took it back home with us as a family airloom from the weekend I proposed to my now wife. Tonight we finally looked up BookCrossing .com and my theories of secret messages encoded within the book have almost come true. Whilst I can’t possibly read the book and I’d love to keep it as a momento of the trip I now understand that I need to let the book fly as such I will release it at a suitable location for it to continue its journey
