A brilliant book. I loved the film as well but you can't compare them.
I read this on the beach in Corfu one hot week in early June and salivated constantly!

Have read and thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Very mouthwatering and I now really want to make chocolates!
Intend to pass this book on, probably through a wild release but if anybody wants it let me know!

Received this in the post today from Miss-Muffet. I enjoyed the film but I'm curious to see how much more the book has to offer.
I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought would based on my previous viewing of the film. While the film was very sweet (no pun intended) it barely touched upon the interesting themes of organised religion vs. individualism and paganism that are raised in this book. I found the book to be a lot more interesting and am interested now in reading more of the author's books although her oft used theme of food in the titles is a bit off-putting as it comes off as a bit too sickly sweet.
Released on Thursday, December 09, 2004 at about 9:00:00 AM BX time (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) at postal release in Erith, UK Controlled Releases.
