I enjoy John Irving, and read a lot of his books. I especially like the many set in Vermont, where I live. This was good, and set in Vermont, but A Widow for One Year remains my favorite.

This book has already traveled. I live in Northern Vermont and picked it up at a library sale. I will be in Cambridge for the day and I'll leave this somewhere in town.
Have always enjoyed John Irving and was happy to see a title I hadn't read before. It's fun to see how many of his themes reappear from book to book. And this has the cast of quirky characters that John Irving does so well. Hotel New Hampshire will always be my favorite (with World According to Garp close behind) - this one has many similar characteristics. A good read.
