Although the author lives in Michigan, far from the sea breezes we love in Wells, Maine, he has chosen the beautiful setting of the Maine coast for a story that presents the challenges, lessons, & rewards of growing … on a par with The Sign of the Beaver (Speare) and Number the Stars (Lowry). Found in Biddeford somewhere, this book was carried to a home-bound reader in Southern Maine.
