My husband spotted this at the Franklin, TN library book sale. I like James Herriot's own memoirs so it should be interesting to see his life from a different view.
I tried but couldn't get into this book. The author's style of writing was on the dry side. He didn't seem to know James Herriot that well even though he starts this book pretty much claiming credit for making Herriot's writing career. I'd rather spend my time reading Herriot's own books.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
We were in Springfield on a rainy, cold morning for the Sorghum Festival. We weren't sure where everything was, but I wanted to release a book into the wild. I spotted a bench on the front porch of the Judge's Office building and decided it was a good dry spot. I hope a new reader finds it and enjoys it.
I did not find this book interesting.
