Happy BookCrossings!

Can't say the story hugely excited me and the train journey across America was a little boring when it just listed places they passed but then I suppose a 7 day train journey would be. He did have more adventures than I knew about and these were fun.

This is a serious bet for Mr. Phileas Fogg - 20,000 pounds on a wager that he can travel around the world in 80 days. A big change for somebody who used to live by the clockwork.

I think this is my favourite Verne story, more than 20,000 Leagues under the Sea although I have never read the latter. I liked Phileas, although I never understood why Passepartout did not quit on the second day. I remember the cartoon series, where Aouda became Romy voiced by Paloma San Basilio, who also sang the opening credits anthem. That series became legendary among people from my generation. The rescue of Aouda was my favourite episode, and the funniest, the problem with Passepartout's lost shoes.
