This novel has only 220 pages, so it was quick to read. It was very typical "inner space" science fiction, which was popular in the 70's. It's not my favourite subgenre, but nevertheless it was an interesting reading experience. The story was a bit grim, and there were no likeable characters, but the idea of Doro and his breeding program was intriguing.

I googled the book and was surprised to find out that Mind of my Mind is a part of a series, there are four other books in the Patternist series. I would like to read them too, if I ever get a change.

The back blurb is somewhat misleading, by the way. There are no aliens in this book; the powerful telepathic people are all human. Even the immortal Doro, who has no body of his own anymore, was born as a strange freak several thousands of years ago in Egypt.

Hi, I'm just informing you that I found another, intact copy of this book and changed this bookcrossing information into it. So this book is physically a bit different now, but otherwise it's the same book. (I'm keeping the broken copy unregistered and try to repair it.)

I have yet to read this, but I'm hopefully getting there this summer!

I finally read the book. Sadly, I didn't like it much. The telepathic link between the Patternists was interesting, but as -solaria- said, none of the characters is likable and there was too much pointless violence and cruelty.
